NEW CITIZEN COMPOSES
ARABIC VERSION OF NATIONAL ANTHEM: Canada
celebrated its 141st birthday yesterday. And all across the country people
were singing Canada's national anthem “O Canada!” But most of us know “O
Canada” in either English or French. Now, there's an Arabic version. Amr Eid
was inspired to compose his Middle Eastern version of 'O Canada' after
watching an Edmonton Oilers game. Amr Eid was a musician in his home country
Egypt before immigrating Canada a decade ago. CBC Reporter Dalia Thamin has
